Gillespie Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Dugald Projects Committee

Approximately 15 years ago, a few local residents had the idea of fixing of the southeast of Hwy’s 15 _ 206. A “Welcome to Dugald” sign was suggested as well as a flower garden. It was then decided a sign should be placed on the east side of town welcoming individuals to the community. Due to the generous donations from our residents in town, enough money was raised to purchase two signs and a flower garden; two flagpoles and a “retired plow” were also. Included.

In December 2002, as a result of these projects, a committee was formed. The “Dugald Projects Committee” is a non-profit organization consisting of Dugald residents dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our town.

Many projects have been completed thanks to the dedication of our committee, community donations and the funding opportunities available through our government.

Projects to date:

  • Welcome to Dugald sights, east _ west of town on highway 15.
  • Gillespie Park play structure and planters.
  • Bench sights throughout town including the planting of flowers each year.
  • Skateboard park located at on the Dugald Community Club grounds.
  • Dugald Community club kitchen renovations.

The Dugald Projects Committee is currently working on Historical plaques to be displayed outdoors.
